Dynamic Web Module Design
NetConsole/Timesheet is built on NetConsole/iGate, which defines
different business objects (Modules, Functions, Templates, projects, etc.) and
use Groups (or Roles) as the basic units to grant access rights to different
business objects. By assigning users to Groups and assigning Groups to the
business objects, NetConsole provides secured access-control and user's navigation
to applications without using native NT security.

Scalability
You can create your own Modules, Functions and Templates to integrate into NetConsole.
Once you grant Group access rights to these new components,
your users will immediately gain access to them. By adding new modules
into NetConsole, you can eventually expand NetConsole to fit into your organization's
Intranet needs.

NetConsole/iGate
NetConsole/iGate is an Industry-proved back-end security structure for Intranet
applications and is the basic building block of NetConsole/Timesheet products.
It provides the security infrastructure for all of the Web-based applications
that require access-control and user navigation.

System Architecture

NetConsole/Timesheet is built on a Web-based dynamic design using Cold Fusion,
Java Scripts, Java Applets and SQL Server on a NT/NT IIS Server environment
using Dynamic Web Module design.
We have adopted the most recent Web technology wherever possible, such as
Cascade Style-Sheet formats to ensure an integrated and consistent look-and-feel.
We also use encrypted server-side Java Scripts and encrypted Cold Fusion templates
to secure the safety of the source codes when the product is run on the Internet.
A Web-based system administration interface is provided for system configuration and
maintenance. NetConsole/Timesheet's access control and navigation system is built on
NetConsole/iGate, which is designed based on the "Dynamic
Web Module" structure, where system functionality is developed and maintained separate
from the user's access and viewing privileges.
This Dynamic Web Module design makes NetConsole robust and scalable over time. Companies
can assign and design their user's access and viewing privileges to different functionalities
according to group privileges at any time without ever touching the source code.

System Security, Access Control and Navigation
A user's login screen is provided to prevent unauthorized access.
Based on the login information, NetConsole will authenticate the user within the system,
as well as decide the user's access and viewing privileges to display, query, add,
update, or delete system information.
The implementation of system security, access control and navigation is based on
"Dynamic Web Module" design, which defines the hierarchical system access-control
and user's navigation privileges as described below:
- Users

- Employees, Supervisors, Project Managers, Accountants...etc.
· Functional Groups
- System Administrators, Personnel Managers Client Managers...etc.

System Administration
A Web-based System Administration interface is provided for each access control unit.
There are Users Manager, Group Manager, Module Manager, Function Manager, and Template
Manager. Each manager interface allows authorized persons to add, delete and update the
navigation items as well as assign group privileges for access control and user's
capabilities and permissions.
A site visit audit trail is provided as comma-formatted log files for the activity tracking
system. This audit trail keeps track of a given user's navigation activity.
An online User's Operational Manual is provided to guide the users of the NetConsole/Timesheet.
