System Infrastructure

Q. How committed is your company/ the application to the Cold Fusion app server/development tools?

A. We are Macromedia(Cold Fusion)'s Technology Partner and will continue to support CF in our products. NetConsole/Timesheet is built on top of Cold Fusion.

Q. Can you provide us with the system requirement to get up and running on NetConsole? For example, what do we need to provide you and what do you provide us?

A. I will assume you purchased the NetConsole/Timesheet product and installed it on your own site. The following is what environment you need to have:

  1. System/Server Requirements if hosted on your own server:*
    • Operating System: Windows NT 4.0 and above
    • Processor: Pentium Pro or Pentium III and above is recommended
    • Disk Space: Minimum 50 MB free hard disk space for CF Server and Product codes
    • Memory: 96 MB or higher is recommended (192 MB or higher with MS SQL Server)
    • Web Server: MS IIS Server 4.0
    • Database Server: ODBC-compliant relational databases (MS SQL Server 7 and above is recommended). Database server can be on the same machine as web server, or it can be on a different machine on the same network (recommended for a larger Intranet site)
    • Other: A CD-ROM Drive
  2. Software Requirements:
    • Cold Fusion Application Server 4.5, 5.0 and CF MX.
  3. End User's Requirements:
    • Internet Access
    • Internet Explorer Browser 5.5 and above or Netscape/Navigator Browser 5.0 and above

We will ship you the product CD along with the installation guide. You will run the setup program to install all source templates in the designated area. The Installation Guide will show you how to install and configure the product in a step-by-step manner.

Q. What has been the average "up time" required to get NetConsole up and running for your customers? Do you recommend a particular sequence of events?

A. It's a quick installation process and all of the steps are stated in the installation guide in detail. If you are familiar with the CF web environment and are handy on using SQL query tools, it will take you less than 15 minutes to install and set up the application. We will also help you setup the NetConsole/Timesheet application if any problem arises. Just let your technical contact talk to our technical support.

Q. What are your days and hours of support?

A. Every Purchase of NetConsole/Timesheet comes with an one-year Premium Tech Support plan. Our business hours are M-F, 9:00am-5:00pm EST.

Q. Can you provide a client list?

A. You will find more than 2,000 users that are using NetConsole/Timesheet at the companies like Canadian Provincial Airline, Saturn Electronics & Engineering, Microbia, Pinnacle Technology, Inergy Automotive Systems, Informax, Merkle Direct Marketing, City of Aurora, Colorado. Q. Do you offer close maintenance support and/or do you encourage self-maintenance?

A. Any purchase of NetConsole/Timesheet will come with a one-year premium technical support plan, including telephone and email support on all the product-related issues. After the first year, you may continue to subscribe to our premium technical support for 20% of the product price.

Q. What are the server and database maintenance costs ?

A. If you purchase and host the application by yourself, you will be responsible for all the database backup and server maintenance. There is no direct maintenance cost related to application itself.
