Timesheet Module
- The new function "Output TS" under Timesheet
module has been added in
v4.5wmx for regular employees. Different from "Output TS" in SysAdmin module,
this "Output TS" function is used by end users to output their Timesheets
for any selected week with timesheet submittal and approval status as well
as Approval By, Approval Date, Submitted By and Submitted Date information.
End users can use this function to print out their approved timesheets as
their paper copies.
- The new "Enter Vacation Form" and
"Approve Vacation Form" functions
are revised from previous "Enter Pre-Approve Form" and "Multi-approve Pre-Approve Form".
In v4.5wmx, we include two different vacation systems to track employees' vacation
hours:
(1) "Annual Allowable Hours" System, and
(2) "Vacation Accrual Hours" System.
Companies can choose one of these vacation-tracking systems depending on their
personnel policy.
"Vacation Accrual Hours" System starts with zero hour or
with the carried-over hours from previous year as the beginning balances.
Employee's available vacation hours are accrued through out the year based on his or her
"monthly accrual rates" table. Employee's used vacations and sick hours will be recorded.
The balances are then calculated by subtracting the used hours from total accrued hours.
"Annual Allowable" System grants "Annual Allowable" hours for vacations and
sick leaves for each employees in the beginning of the year. Each time, an
employee uses his or her vacations, the vacation hours will be subtracted
from this annual allowable hours. The remaining balance is calculated by
subtracting the total used vacation hours from the annual allowable hours.

Payroll Module
- "TS Rept-Payroll" function has been updated.
The new "TS Rept-Payroll" function allows the Payroll manager to calculate, summarize and
analyze employees' costs among different projects.
- "Payroll Output" function has been updated
by adding a "Task" column into the report. In addition, the
employee's Productivity report has been improved to compare employee's charge rates and
salary rates to calculate the profits that an employee brings in to the company.
- The new "Lock TS" function has been created in this new
v4.5wmx to give Payroll managers
additional control over Employee's timesheets by forcibly "Lock-Out" their
timesheets should they forget to submit their timesheets.
- "Add TS Hours" function.
This new function is for Payroll managers to add a default timesheet
hours to specific Project/Task for selected employees for any given date.
This function will help Payroll to pre-fill standard holiday hours, insert
pre-defined labor hours for a particular Project and Task, or use this
function to update mistakes made by employees.

SysAdmin Module
- "Access Manager" has been updated.
The current Access Manager allows you to define access
to menu items. The updated version allows users to further define access for
Projects and Tasks in an easy-to-use "switch-board" interface.
- A new changeable "Menu Display Order" for Modules and Functions, which
allows Module and Function's display orders to be re-arranged.
- "Supervisor Email Options" in "Job Relationship" under User Manager.
When assigning supervisors, users now are able to
specify which email option (i.e. To:, CC:, or No Email) is needed for each
supervisor assigned.
- Project Manager has been updated by
introducing an expiration "Status" flag.
If a project is passed project End Date, then this project becomes
"Expired" and will not be listed in the Project list.
Also, under "Add/Remove Group to Project" interface in Project Manager,
we have included the "Apply automatically to all the Tasks under this Project" option.
When adding project groups to a project, the system will automatically assign the same
set of groups to all tasks under this project (by default).
"View all Projects and Tasks" - a new feature under Project
Manager which is used to produce a report which consists of all Projects and the Tasks
that are associated with them.
"Budget Manager". For each project, users may assign annual budgeted hours, which can then
be used for Billing Reports.
- A new "System Parameter Manager" function
has been developed. This new function is a web
interface for users to set up all system parameters and application variables.
Before, a text-based configuration file "CF_APP.cfm" is used to define all system
parameters accessible only by System Administrators.
- User Manager has been updated.
Now, "Inactive" or "Disabled" users in the User list will be screened out
and not be listed as default. A "New User Creation Wizard" and a new "Carry-Over Wizard"
have been developed for administrator to create new users and perform year-end "Carry-Over"
tasks.

System-wide Functions
- Clock-in Option.
If chosen, the system will calculate the elapsed time between the users
"Sign-In" and "Sign-Out" time, and logged the hours automatically into
employees' timesheets.
- Completely redesigned Graphical Interface,
with integrated menus and graphical elements
- A new attribute for Email SMTP Port number for
those users that need to change the "Port" number for their SMTP server.
